New Craft Supplies // Ribbons...

Hello there!

I thought I would share with you all some recent purchase I have made for my craft supplies. So I got both of these reels of ribbon, one black and spotty the other a plain, pale pink, on eBay. I have been looking in quite a lot of places, but the nearest craft shops to me are very expensive for these type of ribbons. On Ebay, the black, spotty one was  £2.99 and that's for 25mtrs, which I think it good. And the pale pink was £1.91.What I liked most was the huge colour range and the very fast delivery!

P.s I'm always looking for cheaper craft supplies, so if any of you have any suggestion of craft shop online or other outlets to get any from, please let me know?!?

Pink Birthday Party Ideas //Part 2

Many of the items I used to decorate my 21st Birthday party were items I made myself. However I thought it would be useful to show some of the supplies I purchased and share some of the links. I have also included my own photographs of the items from my Birthday party.

Party Treat Boxes- £1.34 8pk from Amazon

These lovely little polka dot treat boxes are brilliant for displaying and storing party snacks or sweets. They are definitely a must have for any pink party. At £1.34 a pack, which includes 8 boxes, you can't go wrong with these cute little boxes.

Scrumptious Canape Flags- £3.18 from Amazon

I loved these Canape Flags, they gave an extra added cuteness to my buns and cupcakes I was serving. The flags came in a variety of colours and each had a little saying such as, "Take one" "Eat me" and other cute sayings. These flags are very versatile and have many different uses.

Decorative Paper Swirl Fan

I have seen a lot of these paper fan swirls being made and used as birthday party decorations. I decided to make some and use them to decorate my room. I think they look lovely and could be made to fit a party that has a colour scheme.

What you need:
If you want to hang your Paper Fan swirls, you will also need some rope or string.
(Also ribbon if you want to add some extra detail when you are finished!)

What to do:
1. Cut an A4 piece of paper in three pieces. (the paper would look better if it was coloured or patterned.)
2 & 3. Begin to fold the paper backwards and then forwards. (Like a paper fan.)

4  & 5. Fold all three pieces of papers.
6. Once the paper is folded, use small pieces of tape to stick together the now small fans you have made.

And hey presto!

You have a lovely Paper Fan Swirl, which can be used to decorate a room, home or party! Making smaller ones and hanging them along side bigger ones will be a great affect!

Pink Birthday Party Ideas //Part 1

#1 D.I.Y Vase of Balloons

What you need:
  • 5 or 6 coloured balloons of your choice
  • Wooden sticks (you can get these from D.I.Y shops or use wooden skewers)
  • Cello-tape
  • Foam material
  • Coloured matching ribbon
  • One plain vase or pot

How to do it:
  1. Blow up and tie each of the balloons. Using cello-tape, stick the balloons to the sticks.
  2. Cut long slices of the foam material and wrap the foam around the part where the you put the cello-tape. This will make the balloon strong enough to be supported by the stick.
  3. Do the same for all balloons. You can change and add different colours and shades of balloons.
  4. Arrange the balloons and sticks into the vase. It may take a couple of times to get all the balloons sitting the way you want.
  5. (Optional) Finish the Vase of Balloons by tying a ribbon around the Vase, for a finishing touch!
